I recently had an opportunity to go hike my first two 14er's with the youth in our ward. Gary was the only leader going and since it conflicted with a Relief Society activity there were no YW leaders...so, I said...like I always do...whatever...I'll go. It was absolutely AWESOME. So glad I went.
When we got to the top, there were a couple of guys with an ironing board, and iron, a blow torch and a shirt. They called it extreme ironing. They let us try it. Pretty much one of the coolest things I have ever done.
Gary takes his extreme sports very seriously.
We really do have some very awesome youth in the Parker Ward. It was the second weekend after school started. They were tired, but they loved it. Not one of them complained. Also, everyone after said how cool it was and how glad they were that they did it. They were amazing!!

Next time you extreme iron, let me know - I'll send my pile, and you can do it for HOURS. THAT would be the coolest thing you've ever done.
