One of our very favorite places in Colorado is Estes Park. We decided to take a few days during Fall Break and stay in Estes. It was off season, so there were not a lot of people there, which was nice. There was this huge Elk that was just walking along the road that was on the way to our condo. He was there every morning at about the same place. Huge, I tell ya!!! One night Gary and I went out and when we came back this guy was sitting right by the door of our condo. It was crazy. We were like, "Woe!". We were nervous he was going to eat us or something.

Right outside the condo was a stream. It was awesome. However, it was like pulling teeth to get my kids away from the
tv and out exploring. Once I got them out it was so nice.

Hollie and
Mckenzie came up and we headed out to Rocky Mountain National Park. Again, one of our very favorite places in Colorado.

We started out in our condo Wednesday night. By Friday the place was getting crowded. We were on the top level. We heard the people talking below us around 10pm. But, did we complain?
Nooooooo. We were all in bed by 9:30pm that night. Gary had to get up around 6:00am to get to work and he had a boot on his foot for his stress fracture. I am sure that made some noise. Then the kids all got up around 7:00am. Okay, so maybe there was some crying. Jack and John, sad but true, cry A LOT. It is no picnic. Well, we leave in the morning and come back in the afternoon and we get this note.... (click to enlarge).

So, I call the lady at the desk and say we got this note. I said, "Really, someone left because we were so loud?" They were across the hall. She said that, "Well, they might have had other issues too." The note doesn't say they had other issues, it just said they left because we were so loud. I was not very happy. She said, "Don't worry about it". So, I didn't and we went in to town and got pies.

We have gone to Estes for years and have never been to The Doughnut
Haus. Finally, we did and they were amazing!!
