Marathon or no Marathon?

Lately, I have been debating whether or not to run the actual marathon. I am sure I can finish, but I haven't been able to train that well. Although, I did get a ten mile run in last Saturday, thanks to Miss Isabel who rode her bike with me the whole way. She even talked to me when I needed her. It is so exciting that my kids are actually coming in handy as they get older. Who knew? Just kidding. I totally knew.

So the big debate is...do I run the 1/2 and just be awesome....OR do I run the whole marathon and try something new. I am not sure if I will be able to get that 20 mile run in before the race. I have about five weeks. What to do? What to do?

If you do decide to only run the 1/2, you can run the full with me in October in St. George.
You will be awesome either way. It is always a great feeling to say you've run a full.

Kel, You can totally do the whole marathon! Go for it! Try and get that long run in a couple of times in the next couple of weeks. I would try 15 and then go for 20. You can do this! You rock in every way possible!!! ~Laura

Well, if I'm going to run the half I think you should run the full. You know how bad I've been at training. Although, if you feel like you shouldn't then don't. That's how I felt at that 10 mile trail run and look what happened...a ripped calf and throw up in Gary's new car. So, you know your body best. You can probably do it and not get the time you want and just take it easy or kill the half. It's totally up to you. I'm still on the fence with running the half. I still haven't even signed up yet:)

I think it is awesome you would consider either. I don't see myself ever getting to the point of considering even a half. Whether you do the half or the whole, I am sure you will feel very accomplished. Good luck!!
