Are you Jealous? You Should be!

Look who I got to hang out with this weekend! I got to see one of my oldest, dearest friends ever! The fabulous Kristin!! Do you know what I love about Kristin? She is awesome! She is funny and fun and beautiful and probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. You know what else is awesome about old friends? When you hang out you remember what it was like to just be you, you know what I mean? Anywho, Kristin and I met at the City of Joseph Pageant around the tender age of 14. We went through the last few years of high school together (at different schools), we were at Ricks together, we were in Provo together, we even lived together at one of the most terrible, cockroach invested, nastiest apartments that I have ever lived in. I told her that just shows how unsnobby we are. We went to each other's weddings and kept in touch a little. But what a treat to see her in Denver this week and it was like no time had ever passed.

I went to pick her up at her hotel. She is funny.

Then we went to Panera Bread. That is where she bought my dinner and told the lady at the register that we were married. The lady said that I must be the man in the relationship because Kristin had the bigger diamond. Good Old Kristin, that is why I love her. The lady at the register loved us, but I don't think the lady behind us did or the huge line behind her.

Then I brought her home, we went through old pictures, introduced her to the kids, and headed back to the hotel. We went to her room and talked til 2:00am about school, Navuoo, Ricks, Provo, old friends, crazy times and just about everything. It was the best night in my life. I needed it badly. She made me remember stuff that I needed too and made me realize that old friends are huge blessings.

Kristin was one of those people who had a lot of junk she was dealing with in her life, but when you were her friend she acted like your problems were bigger when really they weren't. She is an amazing lady and I am so glad she has been a part of my life. I love you, Kristin!
