Easter 2008

Finally, some Easter pictures. I am starting to feel like this blog is my scrapbook, my journal, and my family history all rolled into one. So, I get nervous if I don't post something that has happened. Someday, my kids will appreciate this. Speaking of that, someday, I am going to put all the pictures of the kids sitting at the top of the steps before all the holidays like Christmas and Easter and any other holiday that they sit at the top of the steps and wait in an album on my iphoto. Then I am going to make a slide show, call it Top O' the Steps: Forrest Family Holidays (and how we made the kids wait and how it was miserable for them until we took the picture). Set it to some sappy music and cry and cry every time I watch it. (Sigh), that will be so awesome.

I think Jack was okay with this holiday because somehow a ginormous bunny hiding eggs all over the house is far less scary than a large man with a long white beard and eight flying reindeer leaving toys under a tree. Go figure. So, he was excited to go downstairs.

The bunny left basketballs for the boys, a Webkinz penguin for Lucy and a Webkinz Dog for Isabel.

Then the hunting began.
John had a good time. The boys don't get that you have to make a made scramble to get as many eggs as you can before your sisters take them all. He just took his time.

Lucy probably had the most. She gets the mad scramble part of the Easter Egg Hunt.

After the hunt, we had breakfast with Grandpa and Brigham. Then we went to church, I left church early to take Grandpa and Brigham to the airport. After church we had roast and mashed potatoes. Everyone had quiet time. Then we took a nap. It was great! Happy Easter!

Hi kellie!
I love the fun pictures! It's so fun to see the kids and how their growing up. When I read your entry about journaling it made me think of that company that will take all your blog entries and make them into a hard bound book. Have you heard of them? I haven't used them but Allison has a friend who did and loved it!
Thanks for all you do. You guys Rock! Hey Bobbi and Renell are still running the 1/2 on the 19th. We are thinking of doing dinner the night before...I know you have a lot of family here but we wanted to see if you wanted to come?

Kristy, I would like to do the book thing. That is pretty much why I want to put all my stuff in here.

Thanks for the invite to dinner. We do have a big Forrest Carb overload dinner the night before to get us pumped up for the race. Maybe I will see you guys there.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Way to go Lucy!! That's my kind of girl. I am glad the boys were not scared of a giant furry bunny that could probably eat their heads off, good for them! Your cooking is so good and I wish I could have had some of your yummy dinner! See you soon you running fool!
