Here are some photos from our camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was fun, but it was freezing cold. We also had to keep all of our food in the car because the black bears will get into it if it is not locked up. This was the boys' first experience with camping. They liked it all except for the sleeping through the night bit. They didn't like to do that too much.

This is John trying to be like his dad. He has a rock and he helped hammer the in the stakes of the tent.

This is Isabel and Lucy at the visitors center which is at the highest elevation in the Rocky Mountain National Park, which was roughly 11, 776 feet. Isabel is trying to be a real happy park ranger and Lucy thinks she is crazy.

We cannot go camping with out our head lamps. Sadly, we only have four headlamps. But, I am sure that will change. Good times.

One of the major events that happened to us while we were there was the ginormous heard of Elk that ran through our campsite. I don't know if you can see them in this picture very well. But, they were right behind those trees. Isabel, Jack, John and I went for a walk the morning we left and we were sitting on a rock and right across the way maybe 20 feet from us came about six elk down the hill in front of us. That was cool.

That looks like so much fun! I miss camping and hiking. We are looking at a kid back pack thingy that Mckenzie would sit in, on ebay. There are a lot of water falls around here. You guys will have to come out and see them:)
i have a backpack thingy you can have. It is a little busted but it works and it is a kelty. how about that?
I love that national park, shelley and I stopped there on our way out to school last year. We would have loved to spend a night camping - Im jealous.
Well Alan, come on over...we will take y'all camping anytime. I have to tell you though that our favorite camp site is up past Sundance. You should try that one while you are living in Provo. It is awesome.
