We have been off-track the last couple of weeks and have two more weeks to go. Lucy's good friend Aubrey's mom runs a day care out of her home and she plans a bunch of field trips off track. Luckily, she is kind enough to let us tag a long. This Berry Farm is located near Brighton. CO. It took us about an hour to drive there. For $4.50 a kid, we got to take a little hay ride, pick a pint of strawberries and have a lesson on bees and how bees make honey.
Aubrey (in red) and Lucy picking berries and having the best time EVER!
This is Isabel's good friend Mallory helping John. John was attached to Mallory the whole day. I think he may have a little crush. Jack ate more than he picked. I turned around and Jack's face was all red. His yellow shirt turned red and he put the half eaten strawberries back in his bin.
The kids got to try on bee keeper outfits after the lesson. Lucy would like to wear this going outside to play.
Isabel thought that beekeeper suit was "cool".
It was a very fun field trip. The kids had a great time. I even heard one of the kids say to Tiffianie that this was one of the best field trips ever and he is only 6. How about that?

Our tour guide was pretty funny. He and his wife (they own the farm) kept arguing about hot peppers and if Jose should pick them or not over the radio. Then the whole time he was teaching us about bees he was chomping on a candy bar. Poor guy was probably just trying to get through another day.

I heard the fresh ones are way better than the store ones. Did you make any jam?
